1. Introduction & Scope

OurMatrimony (“we”, “our”, or “us”), operated by STARHULKS, provides an Android mobile application (com.ourmatrimony) and official informational website (https://ourmatrimony.com) designed to help unmarried adults discover compatible matrimonial matches. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used and shared within the app, and how you can control or delete your data.

2. Information We Collect

• Account & Authentication Data: Your 10-digit Indian mobile number (+91) verified via SMS OTP through Firebase Authentication. Your phone number is kept private by default and is only revealed when unlocked in accordance with app rules.
• Matrimonial Profile Information: Information you enter during our 6-step profile creation flow, including full name, gender, date of birth, height, physical attributes, marital status, religion, community/caste, education, profession, income range, city/location, family background (parents' names/occupations, siblings), interests, and bio.
• Vedic Horoscope & Birth Details: Optional astrological information you provide—such as Date of Birth, Time of Birth (TOB), Place of Birth (POB), Raasi, Nakshatra, Star Padam, Gothram, and Dosham—used to calculate 36-point Ashta Koota compatibility.
• Profile Photographs: 3 to 6 photographs uploaded from your device, which are compressed and stored securely in cloud storage. You can blur and lock your photos at any time via the Show Profile Photos toggle in Privacy Settings.
• Optional Aadhaar KYC Verification Data: If you choose to complete optional identity verification in the Get Verified screen, your 12-digit Aadhaar number and OTP are processed via our third-party verification partner (Digio KYC) to verify that the name and date of birth on your Aadhaar match your profile. We store your verification status flag and do not publicly display your Aadhaar number.
• Wallet & Payment Metadata: When you recharge your Pay-As-You-Go Wallet, payments are processed by Razorpay. We record transaction IDs, wallet credit balances, and feature unlock logs, but we do not store your raw credit/debit card numbers or UPI PINs on our servers.
• Website Contact Inquiries & Analytics: When you submit the Contact Us form on our website, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and message solely to respond to your support request.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your matrimonial profile to other registered members in Daily Matches, Recommended feeds, and Search results.
• To compute 36-point Vedic Ashta Koota compatibility reports when requested by you or prospective matches.
• To enforce your chosen privacy settings (photo blur lock, online status, last seen timestamp, and phone search toggle).
• To facilitate connection requests, photo access approvals, and protected in-app messaging, and to enforce Block & Report moderation actions.
• To maintain your in-app wallet balance and Refer & Earn rewards.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on trusted infrastructure partners strictly to operate the OurMatrimony application:

• Google Firebase: Authentication, Cloud Firestore database, Cloud Storage for profile photos, and push notifications.
• Razorpay: Secure payment gateway for in-app wallet recharges.
• Digio: Optional Aadhaar OTP KYC identity verification workflow.
• Google Analytics (Optional on Website): Aggregated website traffic and Google Play click attribution.

5. Your Privacy Controls & Account Deletion Rights

Inside the OurMatrimony Android app (My Profile → Privacy Settings), you can:

• Enable or disable Show Profile Photos (blurs your photos until you approve a viewer's request in chat).
• Enable or disable Online Status, Last Seen, and Search by Phone.
• Permanently delete your account and associated profile data by selecting Delete Account in the Privacy Settings screen, or by requesting deletion via starhulksofficial@gmail.com.

6. Eligibility (Adults 18+ Only)

OurMatrimony is strictly intended for adults who meet legal marriage age requirements (at least 18 years old for women and 21 years old for men under Indian law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
