1. Genuine Matrimonial Purpose
OurMatrimony is built exclusively for unmarried adults and their families seeking lawful marriage. Do not create a profile if you are already married, underage, or looking for casual dating or commercial arrangements.
2. Authentic Profiles & Photographs
- Upload only recent, genuine photographs of the person whose matrimonial profile is being created.
- Do not upload celebrity images, AI-generated faces, group photos where the candidate is unclear, or photographs containing watermarks or phone numbers.
- Represent your education, profession, age, marital history, and family background honestly.
3. Respectful In-App Communication & Chat Rules
- Treat all members and their families with dignity and courtesy. Abusive, discriminatory, or sexually explicit messages result in immediate account removal.
- To prevent spam and harassment, our chat system automatically blocks raw phone numbers and copy-pasted bulk messages. Do not attempt to circumvent these filters.
- Respect members' photo privacy choices. If a member has locked their profile photos, use the polite in-app request option and accept their decision if they decline.
4. Zero Tolerance for Financial Scams
Never ask another member for money, loans, gifts, investment contributions, or financial assistance under any circumstance. Likewise, if any user asks you for money, stop communicating immediately and use the Block & Report button in chat.
5. How to Block & Report Violations
Inside any chat conversation in the OurMatrimony app, tap the menu icon and select Block & Report. Blocked profiles are immediately hidden across your Home feed, Search results, Saved Profiles, and Horoscope Matching screens.
